IN THE COMMUNITY
Experience
Community service has always been a profound passion of mine, especially in the community I call home. My journey into politics began in 2019, when I was elected at convention as the Vice Chair of Programs for the Pickens County Republican Party. The following year, I stepped up to fill an open position as the 1st Vice Chair. My commitment deepened as I was honored to be elected Chairman of the Pickens County Republican Party—not once, but twice until 2025, when I chose to pursue a run for Congress instead.
In 2021, I proudly became one of the founding sponsors of the Mountain Young Republicans, which united the voices of Pickens and Fannin Counties. That same year, I also co-founded the Power of 5—a dynamic group that organized debates and forums, fostering collaboration among GOP members from Pickens, Gilmer, Fannin, Towns, and Union Counties. In 2022 I ran and won the position of 1st Vice Chair for the 11th Congressional District. Even through the challenges of redistricting, I won three times in this role until I made the pivotal choice to run for Congress in 2025, which led me to step back from that position.
Award-Winning Community Leadership
Recognition for my volunteer efforts in the community came when I was awarded the Horatio Alger Award by the 9th Congressional District for my work, a moment that filled me with pride. The very next year, we received the Best Programs Award for the Secretary of State debate held in Gilmer County—an acknowledgment that underscored the impact of our initiatives.
My passion for community engagement extends beyond politics; I proudly served as the President of the Rotary Club of Jasper from 2021 to 2022. Since 2020, I've been on the board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Georgia, actively contributing to the positive development of our youth. Additionally, I have been involved with the Pickens County Historical Society, lending my time and energy to their board as well. Through all these experiences, my commitment to serving my community has only grown stronger.
